Choir Auditions

Every time you say the word “audition” to someone, a certain level of fear strikes their heart and they remember back to their junior high years when they “auditioned” for the school talent show and got booed off the stage. Then they turn white, start crying and hyperventilating, vomiting and getting weak in the knees. People, that’s not good. A little bit of vomiting is ok, but we try to keep it to a minimum.

So, we’ve developed an audition system that’s very easy and family friendly. Here it is:

1. Complete your Dream Team Application online by clicking here.
2. Come to a Thursday Night rehearsal on either September 16 & 23, at 7pm in the Tent.
3. Participate in the rehearsal and have a short 5-10 minute interview with a current choir member
4. Come back to rehearsal the following week at 6pm for your group musical audition and attend rehearsal. 
 

It’s a 2 week process so that we can get to know each other a little bit. On the first week, you’ll show up, get a packet with all your music for the evening, get hooked up with a buddy who can stay with you throughout the rehearsal (we remember what it was like to be the new kid), and participate in the rehearsal. During the evening you'll have a short 5-10 minute interview with a current member of the choir.  If you haven't already completed the online Dream Team Application, you'll have an opportunity to do that during the evening.

On the second week, you’ll come back before rehearsal starts to meet with a bunch of nice people so that you can sing together. It’s a way for us to hear you in a smaller group of people without making you sing by yourself. After you’ve done that and you join us for that evening's choir rehearsal once again, you're all done, and we'll contact you by email to give you more information.  That’s it!  It couldn’t be easier!
